About
A celebrated actress and a theatre director lose their work and home to political censorship and move with their daughter to Istanbul.
Yellow Letters centres on Derya (Özgü Namal), a celebrated actress, and Aziz (Tansu Biçer), a theatre director and teacher. With their thirteen-year-old daughter Ezgi (Leyla Smyrna Cabas), they live in Ankara, where the couple work together in the theatre. After the premiere of their play, Derya and Aziz lose their jobs and their home because of political censorship. They move to Istanbul and stay with Aziz's mother, trying to rebuild their life as a family while pressure from the state continues.
