About
Clara, a teenager in an Andean village, is taught her adoptive mother's midwife songs but dreams of becoming a folk singer in the city.
Clara, played by Marisol Vallejos Montaño, is a teenager growing up in Totorani, a small Indigenous village high in the Andes. Her adoptive mother Ana, played by María Magdalena Sanizo, is a midwife who took her in as a baby and taught her the old Quechua songs used to guide women through childbirth. Clara respects the tradition, and people around her expect her to carry it on. Yet Clara also has a singing voice and dreams of leaving the mountains to make a name for herself as a folk singer in the city. Nely Huayta, Alisson Jimenez and Gregoria Maldonado appear as Beatriz, Flora and Dionisia.
