About

An American psychiatrist assesses Nazi prisoners for trial and clashes intellectually with Hermann Göring in postwar Germany.

Nuremberg is set in postwar Germany around the Nuremberg trials. American psychiatrist Douglas Kelley, played by Rami Malek, is tasked with judging whether Nazi prisoners are fit to stand trial for war crimes. Among the detainees he evaluates is Hermann Göring, Hitler's former right-hand man, played by Russell Crowe; their encounters become a contest of intellect and ethics.

The film also follows Justice Robert H. Jackson, played by Michael Shannon, as he learns of Göring's arrest and considers an international tribunal to charge the remaining Nazi leadership with war crimes.
