In occupied France, Resistance leader Jean Moulin is parachuted in to unite the networks and faces Gestapo chief Klaus Barbie in Lyon.
The film follows Jean Moulin (Gilles Lellouche), a leader of the French Resistance during the Nazi occupation of France. In 1942 he is parachuted into the country at the request of Charles de Gaulle to unite the networks of the Resistance. He tries to stay out of sight. In Lyon he faces Klaus Barbie (Lars Eidinger), the head of the Gestapo there. The cast also includes Louise Bourgoin as Comtesse De Forez and Marcin Czarnik as Aubrac. László Nemes directs from a screenplay by Olivier Demangel.
