About
After almost forty years of marriage, Lore wants a divorce, while Harry tends his garden and their daughter plans a third wedding.
Lore (Dagmar Manzel) and Harry (Joachim Król) have been married for almost forty years. Harry has retired; he complains, drinks wheat beer and tends his delphiniums, while Lore holds on to her job as a librarian, organises readings and reveres her poets. Lore wants a divorce. When their daughter plans to marry for the third time, an argument is inevitable, and it is only the tip of the iceberg. Under the surface lie unspoken questions, old jealousy and disputes about Harry's phlegmatic nature and the purpose of a pressure washer. Harry tends the garden; Lore dreams of travel and another life, feels powerless and wonders whether a new beginning is still possible at over sixty. Harry drinks beer, smokes and stays silent, but notices her distress.
