About
A ruthless Qing court constable is sent to recover stolen gold and capture five thieves within ten days.
At a banquet in the 19th-century Qing court, Empress Dowager Cixi orders Liu Jing Tian (Walter Tso Tat-Wah), security chief of the Forbidden City, to recover two million taels in gold stolen from the royal treasury and to capture the five thieves. Liu turns to chief court constable Leng Tian-Ying (Chen Kuan-tai), known as Killer Constable, and asks him to take a small team of capable men to find the thieves and bring back the gold within ten days. Leng accepts.
His brother Cun Yi, also in law enforcement, refuses to go with him, disapproving of Leng's merciless methods. A first lead takes the constables to a watermill, where Leng recovers a small part of the gold.
