About

I Play Rocky is a biographical drama directed by Peter Farrelly about the making of Rocky. Anthony Ippolito plays Sylvester Stallone, an unknown actor in New York City who lives on the edge of homelessness while moving between low-paying jobs and auditions. AnnaSophia Robb is Sasha Czack, a coworker he begins dating; Matt Dillon plays his father, Frank Stallone Sr., who is dismissive of his acting ambitions. Sasha encourages him to use his real name and write his own scripts. Stallone writes a screenplay about a boxer and refuses to sell it unless he can play the lead. P.J. Byrne and Toby Kebbell appear as the producers Irwin Winkler and Robert Chartoff.
