About
After their plane crashes in the Alaskan wilderness, Special Forces veteran James Belmont and his combat dog Odin must survive the elements.
Retired Special Forces veteran James Belmont (Brad Pitt) and his combat dog Odin, a German Shepherd, both still carry the marks of their service: nightmares and PTSD follow them. They land a small plane on a remote lake in the Alaskan wilderness and camp for the night. There James meets Watkins (J.K. Simmons), an outgoing stranger who has set up camp nearby, and the two men talk late into the night.
When James and Odin take off again, their plane crashes. Stranded deep in the wild, far from any help, they have to survive the elements and find their way back to civilisation: a trek of 58 miles to safety.
