About
Shortly before the 1973 Chilean coup, CIA agents Chris and Lee are sent from Santiago to Easter Island, where a new bond threatens their mission.
Not long before the 1973 Chilean coup, CIA bureau chief MJ (Steve Buscemi) sends officers Chris (John Malkovich) and Lee (Sam Rockwell) from Santiago to Easter Island. The longtime partners are there among the island’s iconic statues, wrestling with their dark pasts and present conspiracies. Chris forms a new bond with two rebellious students, played by Mariana di Girolamo and Ailín Salas. That bond threatens to send the trip to the remote island sideways. Wild Horse Nine is a black comedy and spy thriller written and directed by Martin McDonagh.
