Paul Marquet, played by Bastien Bouillon, is a successful photographer who gives up his career to devote himself to writing. His novels are well reviewed, but sales and income remain low, and he falls into poverty. To get by, he takes temporary jobs and drives an Uber in his father's car. He also signs up for an online platform where applicants compete for assignments and wages are driven down. The work is often physically demanding, and clients rate him publicly on the app. Virginie Ledoyen plays Alice Bosquet, a publisher at Gallimard.
