About
In 1961, 19-year-old Bob Dylan arrives in New York City, meets his idol Woody Guthrie and is drawn into the city's folk scene.
In 1961, 19-year-old Bob Dylan (Timothée Chalamet) travels from Minnesota to New York City to meet his musical idol, Woody Guthrie (Scoot McNairy). At the hospital, he meets Guthrie together with folk singer and activist Pete Seeger (Edward Norton). Dylan plays "Song to Woody," a song he wrote for Guthrie, and impresses both men. Seeger invites him to stay with his family and introduces him to the city's folk scene. After a performance by Joan Baez (Monica Barbaro), Seeger introduces Dylan at an open-mic club attended by music industry executives. Dylan flirts with Baez and impresses the audience. Music manager Albert Grossman (Dan Fogler) then takes him on as a client.
