About

To fulfil her father's dream, Astrid Carlson brings four Stradivari and four soloists together, then seeks help from composer Charlie Beaumont.

Astrid Carlson (Valérie Donzelli) wants to fulfil her late father's dream: bringing four Stradivari instruments together for a concert. For the string quartet she recruits violinists George Massaro (Mathieu Spinosi) and Peter Nicolescu (Daniel Garlitsky), violist Apolline Dessartre (Emma Ravier) and cellist Lise Carvalho (Marie Vialle). The musicians gather at a remote château to rehearse, but personal vanity, old rivalries and artistic differences keep getting in the way. As no agreement emerges, Astrid turns to Charlie Beaumont (Frédéric Pierrot), the composer of the work, who takes over the rehearsals. He is to help the four soloists find a common sound as a quartet.
