About
Shohoku point guard Ryota Miyagi and his teammates face reigning Inter-High champions Sannoh Kogyo at the national high school tournament.
Ryota Miyagi is a second-year student at Shohoku High School and the point guard of its basketball team. He grew up in Okinawa, where his older brother Sota, three years his senior, sparked his love for the game. At Shohoku, Ryota plays alongside Hanamichi Sakuragi, Takenori Akagi, Hisashi Mitsui and Kaede Rukawa. Together they reach the Inter-High School National Championship and face Sannoh Kogyo High School, the reigning champions. Shugo Nakamura voices Ryota; Subaru Kimura, Kenta Miyake, Jun Kasama and Shinichiro Kamio voice Sakuragi, Akagi, Mitsui and Rukawa.
