About
In Rome, a kind-hearted prostitute named Cabiria searches for love and happiness in a cynical world.
In Rome in 1957, Cabiria (Giulietta Masina) is a kind-hearted prostitute who tries to find happiness. Her boyfriend Giorgio pushes her into a river and runs off with her purse and money; children nearby raise the alarm and adults rescue her. Back home, Giorgio has vanished. Her neighbor and best friend Wanda (Franca Marzi) tries to help her get over him, but Cabiria sends her away. One night, outside an upscale nightclub, she sees a loud argument between the film star Alberto Lazzari (Amedeo Nazzari) and his girlfriend.
