About
Bobby drives between Vienna and Salzburg, giving lifts to strangers whose conversations range from everyday matters to family, migration, war and death.
Bobby Sommer plays Bobby, a driver who travels weekly between Vienna and Salzburg. On the road he gives lifts to strangers as ride-share passengers. Their conversations drift between the everyday and the deeply personal, touching on family, friendship, migration, war and death.
Clifford Agu, Lana Prerad, Paul Schild, Ted Fendt, Anca Cipariu, Jon Agolli and Polina Skomorokhova appear as Cliff, Lana, Paul, Fred, Anca, Jon and Polina. The film combines documentary and road-movie elements and paints a portrait of contemporary Europe and of Bobby.
