About
On the Belgian front in 1916, soldier Pierre meets Francis, who stages theatrical shows with rejected soldiers, and a romance grows between them.
In 1916, Pierre (Emmanuel Macchia) serves at the Belgian front, where he and his comrades try to keep their spirits up amid the trench warfare.
Behind the lines he meets the charismatic Francis (Valentin Campagne), who stages improvised theatrical performances with a group of soldiers rejected for service, to keep the troops' morale high. Behind the scenes Francis offers Pierre a place where imagination, freedom and tenderness are possible, and the two decide to put on a revue with their comrades. Between the two soldiers a romance develops that has to stay unspoken and silent.
