How many people fit at Sportpark Voorwaarts?
No spectator capacity is published for Sportpark Voorwaarts. The club's own figure is about 700 players a week, and the park has three pitches plus mini pitches, so several matches can run at once.
The club built a tribune in 1966 and a mini-stadium in 2005, but neither has a published capacity. For scale, the AFAS Stadion 10.7 km away holds 17,023 and Sportpaleis Alkmaar 9.6 km away holds 4,750; both are professional or indoor venues, not grassroots football parks.

Eating and drinking at the LSVV canteen
The LSVV canteen is the place to eat and drink at the park. It serves coffee and tea, soft drinks and beer, toasted sandwiches and broodje bal, and it is busiest during the third half.
The canteen committee runs the bar with volunteers. The club describes the canteen as the place where the preparation, the match and the third half come together, and it regularly asks members to take a shift.
No menu with prices or daily opening hours is published. Treat the canteen as match-day food rather than a full restaurant, and check the club's programme for the day's fixtures.

Getting to Sportpark Voorwaarts by bus, train or car
Sportpark Voorwaarts is on Sportlaan in Zuid-Scharwoude. The nearest bus stops are a five-minute walk away, and Heerhugowaard is the nearest station, about 4.4 km away.
From Heerhugowaard station, take bus 407 to Kloosterstraat; the same bus also stops at Begraafplaats Oostervaart, Violenstraat and Zwembad Duikerdel. The walk from Kloosterstraat to the park is 360 m.
By car, Sportlaan leads to the park. Parking is free, but the street gets busy on match days, so the overflow lots in the parking section are worth knowing.
Parking at Sportpark Voorwaarts: free, but Sportlaan fills up
Parking at Sportpark Voorwaarts is free, but the club warns that Sportlaan gets busier and finding a space harder. Two overflow lots are a 5-6 minute walk away.
The club names Sporthal Geestmerambacht and the lot opposite Sint Jan de Doper church as alternatives on its contact page. Both are in Dijk en Waard, where the municipality says parking is free except around the Stadshart and Middenwaard.
Allow five to six minutes to walk from either overflow lot. On a busy Saturday, that is often quicker than circling Sportlaan.

LSVV and Sportpark Voorwaarts: a century of football
LSVV was founded on 5 July 1926 as Voorwaarts and has played on this spot in Zuid-Scharwoude ever since. The club marked its 100th anniversary in 2026.
The first real pitch was dug behind the church at the end of 1927, on the spot where the A pitch still is. A second pitch followed in 1953, the first dressing rooms in 1956 and a tribune with four changing rooms and a small canteen in 1966. The B and C pitches were laid out in the late 1960s.
The complex was thoroughly renovated in 1993-1995. A mini-stadium followed in 2005, and the A and C pitches became artificial turf in 2010. In 2022 the club replaced both artificial pitches and kept one grass pitch; the grass B pitch was rebuilt in summer 2025 with new drainage and pop-up irrigation.
LSVV calls itself the largest football club in Langedijk and the only Sunday club in Langedijk. It grew to about 700 members, 100 of them female, and now runs teams from five-year-olds to senior and walking-football sides.
