About
A portrait of truck drivers in Argentina and the isolated life they lead at motels, roadsides and tire shops, missing loved ones far away.
Truck Driver is a hybrid drama and documentary by Francisco Marise that looks at the isolated life of truck drivers in Argentina. It draws a collective portrait of people who share an unusual sense of time in the silence of the asphalt wilderness: at motels, by the side of the road and in tire shops. There they savor the present moment while missing loved ones far away. Through a faltering connection, a woman speaks briefly with her son. The film moves through roads and night, and through places that barely have a name.
