About
A gay Taiwanese immigrant in New York plans a marriage of convenience with a painter to satisfy his parents and secure her a green card.
Wai-Tung Gao, a Taiwanese immigrant, lives in New York with his American boyfriend Simon. His traditional parents in Taiwan do not know that he is gay and keep pressing him to marry and start a family. To get them off his back and to help the painter Wei-Wei obtain a green card, Wai-Tung plans a marriage of convenience with her. When his parents unexpectedly arrive in New York for the wedding, the small civil ceremony turns into an opulent traditional banquet, and Wai-Tung, Simon and Wei-Wei have to keep up the charade. Winston Chao plays Wai-Tung, Mitchell Lichtenstein is Simon, May Chin is Wei-Wei, and Gua Ah-leh and Lung Sihung play his parents.
