About
A recent college graduate in California begins an affair with the wife of his father's law partner, who forbids him to date her daughter.
Fresh out of college and unsure what to do next, Benjamin Braddock (Dustin Hoffman) returns to his parents' home in Pasadena, California. At a party his parents give for him, Mrs. Robinson (Anne Bancroft), the wife of his father's law partner, asks Benjamin to drive her home. There she tries to seduce him; he resists, and the attempt ends when her husband returns. Some days later Benjamin meets Mrs. Robinson at the Taft Hotel, where he registers under another name, and begins an affair with her. She forbids him to date her daughter, Elaine (Katharine Ross), while his parents and Mr. Robinson keep pressing him to ask Elaine out.
