About
A shy boy reading a stolen book follows a young warrior's quest to save the fantasy world of Fantasia from the Nothing.
Bastian Balthazar Bux (Barret Oliver) is a shy boy who lives with his widowed father. His daydreaming worries his father, and at school he is regularly tormented by bullies. One day he escapes into a bookstore, where the owner warns him about a book called The NeverEnding Story. Bastian takes the book and hides in his school's attic to read.
The book tells of Fantasia, a world threatened by a dark force called the Nothing. Its inhabitants turn to the Childlike Empress (Tami Stronach), who has fallen ill. A young warrior, Atreyu (Noah Hathaway), is given the task of helping her and stopping the Nothing.
