About
A TV journalist and her husband are sent to a secluded resort where patients seem far from ordinary after her encounter with a serial killer.
Joe Dante directed this 1981 American horror film, based on Gary Brandner's 1977 novel. Karen White (Dee Wallace) works as a television journalist in Los Angeles. Serial killer Eddie Quist has been pursuing her. In a police operation, she goes to meet him in the video booth of an adult shop. He forces her to watch footage of a young woman being attacked. Police intervene, and Karen is left traumatised and with memory loss. Her therapist, Dr. George Waggner (Patrick Macnee), sends her and her husband, Bill Neill (Christopher Stone), to the Colony, a secluded countryside resort for his patients. Among the guests is Marsha Quist, who takes an interest in Bill.
