About
Several interconnected love stories in London unfold in the five weeks before Christmas.
Richard Curtis's romantic comedy follows several loosely connected stories about love in London in the five weeks before Christmas, with a weekly countdown to the holiday. David (Hugh Grant), the British Prime Minister, falls for the woman who brings him tea. Billy Mack (Bill Nighy), an ageing rock star, records a Christmas version of a song with his longtime manager Joe. The cast also includes Martine McCutcheon as Natalie, Alan Rickman as Harry, Emma Thompson as Karen, Colin Firth as Jamie Bennett, Laura Linney as Sarah and Liam Neeson as Daniel. Among the characters are a father and his stepson, and the stepson is in love with a classmate. The stories deal with different aspects of love and friendship in the run-up to Christmas.
