About

A withdrawn widower in a drought-stricken Swedish village finds himself at the centre of an event that could bring rain.

In a small town in southern Sweden, the widowed Ingmar Karlsson (Robert Gustafsson) leads a withdrawn life shaped by fixed habits. Since his wife died, his relationship with his daughter Erika has cooled. His late wife's roses remain, along with his divorced and intrusive neighbour Rolf Burman (Jonas Karlsson). The region is enduring the hottest and driest summer in living memory, and everyone is waiting for rain. Then Ingmar finds himself at the centre of an event that could bring rain to the drought-stricken village and change his relationship with his daughter and the community.
