Eat More Trees is a Belgian documentary directed by Arne Focketyn, who wrote the screenplay with Louis De Jaeger. The film follows Yanniek Schoonhoven, who appears as herself and, together with her husband, is converting 1,100 hectares of degraded land in Murcia, southern Spain, into an example of regenerative agriculture. Food forest expert and regenerative pioneer Louis De Jaeger, also appearing as himself, travels from the Amazon rainforest to European farmland to look at how trees and perennial crops can be part of a different farming system. Alfonso Chico de Guzmán appears as himself, and Hanna Verboom narrates. The documentary examines how agroforestry and regenerative agriculture can address soil degradation, biodiversity loss and climate change.
