Thirty-four days before her prison sentence, Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes and her partner let two filmmakers document their life.
In 2023, thirty-four days before she is due to start an eleven-year prison sentence for fraud, Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes and her partner Billy Evans invite two filmmakers into the beach house they rent in Del Mar, California. Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim are given unrestricted access to the couple's life, and Fielder begins filming with suspicion, suspecting that Holmes and Evans are holding something back. When he asks her about how she promoted her company's blood-testing device, she says she never meant to mislead anyone and that her words were misunderstood. Holmes, Evans, Fielder and Oppenheim appear as themselves, alongside Amanda Seyfried.
