What to do in Leeuwarden? Agenda today and this weekend

Climb the Oldehove in the summer season, look at the Waag on the Nieuwestad, spend the afternoon in the Fries Museum or the Princessehof and walk through the Prinsentuin. In the evening there is a concert or club night in Neushoorn, a show in De Harmonie or a film in Slieker.

The arrival is on Saturday 14 November 2026, around the Prinsentuin and the Gouverneursplein with a route through the centre. Westeinde follows on 21 November, Bilgaard and Camminghaburen on 28 November.

King's Day 2027 is on Tuesday 27 April, with King's Night on the evening of Monday 26 April. In 2026 the city had the largest flea market in Friesland, a Music Square on the Wilhelminaplein and parties on the Oldehoofsterkerkhof; the programme for 2027 is not announced yet.

The Blokhuispoort holds its Christmas market on 12 and 13 December 2026, and Camminghaburen has one on 12 December. Salto's Wintercircus plays on the Oldehoofsterkerkhof from 19 December to 3 January 2027, and the Decemberlicht light walk starts on 15 December.
