The real number depends on the set-up of each event: standing concerts leave the floor in front of the stage open, seated evenings fit far fewer guests. The operator does not publish a separate figure for seated shows on its website.
That makes Haus Auensee much smaller than Arena Leipzig and the city’s stadiums, but clearly bigger than the Leipzig Opera.

Seating plan: floor or gallery?
The hall has a floor in front of the stage and a gallery as the upper level; whether a night is standing or seated is decided by each event.
Your ticket shows category and seat. The seating plan, which the house offers as a download, shows how the rows are laid out; which seats belong to which price category appears when you buy.
According to the operator, hall and gallery can be used for several purposes. For wheelchair platforms, the view can be restricted because of where the platform stands.
- For seated events, look closely at the seat map in the ticket shop; the rows differ with each set-up.

Haus Auensee is a concert hall on the Auensee lake in Leipzig-Wahren, at Gustav-Esche-Straße 6. The building opened in 1913 as the restaurant and dance hall of the Lunapark and now stages more than 100 events a year.
