About
Vincent Munier goes into the Vosges forests with his father and son to observe animals and pass on knowledge of nature.
Whispers in the Woods is a nature documentary by Vincent Munier. The film follows Vincent as he goes into the forests of the Vosges with his father, Michel Munier, and his son, Simon Munier. The three generations wait in hides and listen to the forest, where lynx, bears, deer and owls live. The silence is broken mainly by their whispers as they observe the animals. Michel once taught Vincent how to look and listen to nature, and Vincent now passes that knowledge on to Simon. The documentary combines images of the forest and its sounds, and also shows conversations by candlelight in the Muniers' mountain hut about their experiences with nature. All three appear as themselves.
