About
A disillusioned Santa Claus is at a wealthy family’s Christmas Eve gathering when mercenaries led by Mr. Scrooge take the family hostage.
Santa Claus (David Harbour) is disillusioned and has lost his joy in the job; after this year’s Christmas deliveries he intends to retire. On Christmas Eve, before distributing gifts, he sits in a bar drinking beer. In Greenwich, Connecticut, Jason Lightstone (Alex Hassell) and his estranged wife Linda (Alexis Louder) take their 10-year-old daughter Trudy (Leah Brady) to his mother Gertrude’s (Beverly D’Angelo) mansion for a Christmas gathering. Jason’s sister Alva (Edi Patterson) and her boyfriend Morgan Steel (Cam Gigandet) are also there. A group of mercenaries led by Mr. Scrooge (John Leguizamo) raids the estate and takes the family hostage. Santa is on the grounds and becomes an unexpected combatant.
