About
After the Trojan War, King Odysseus tries to reach Ithaca while his wife and son face suitors at home.
After the Trojan War, Odysseus, the king of Ithaca, sets out on a long voyage home. Matt Damon plays Odysseus, who must deal with the will of the gods and with mythical monsters as he tries to reach his family. At home, his wife Penelope (Anne Hathaway) and son Telemachus (Tom Holland) are still waiting for him, while suitors including Antinous (Robert Pattinson) pressure Penelope and seek the throne.
Only Penelope, Telemachus and the servant Eumaeus (John Leguizamo) still expect Odysseus to come back. Telemachus sets off with Mentor to Menelaus, king of Sparta, to find out where his father is. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan and is based on Homer's Odyssey.
