About

In 1959 Oakton City, an outcast squirrel's attempt to raid a nut cart destroys his park's winter food supply and gets him banished.

In October 1959, in the town of Oakton City, the squirrel Surly (Will Arnett) and his rat partner Buddy live in Liberty Park. Their thieving reputation has made them outcasts among the park animals led by Raccoon (Liam Neeson), who are running low on food for winter. Andie (Katherine Heigl) and Grayson (Brendan Fraser), two squirrels, are sent to scavenge from a nut cart operated by Lucky and Fingers, who are casing a bank. Surly and Buddy try to rob the same cart. A scuffle ends with the cart's propane tank exploding and destroying the park's food supply, and Surly is banished from the park. After his banishment, Surly discovers Maury's Nut Store, which could feed him and the park animals through the winter.
