About
A New York artist in financial trouble begins killing homeless people with a power drill as pressure mounts.
Reno Miller, played by Abel Ferrara, is an artist in New York City who is behind on his rent and bills. He shares an apartment near Union Square with his girlfriend Carol Slaughter (Carolyn Smith), a former flight attendant, and her drug-addicted lover Pamela (Pamela Bergman). In a Catholic church, Reno and Carol meet Reno's estranged father, who is living on the streets; Reno denies knowing him. Back home, unpaid bills pile up, and a rock band next door plays late into the night. Reno asks gallery owner Dalton Briggs (Harry Schultz) for more time and a loan, but Dalton refuses, saying he has already lent Reno money. Dalton does hold out the prospect of payment if Reno delivers a promised painting by the end of the week.
