About
A teenager wishes her baby brother away and must solve the Goblin King's labyrinth within thirteen hours to get him back.
Teenager Sarah, played by Jennifer Connelly, lives much in her imagination and is less keen on responsibility. Her father and stepmother leave her to babysit her little brother Toby, played by Toby Froud, and when he will not stop crying she impulsively wishes that the goblins from her book would take him away.
Toby vanishes, and the Goblin King Jareth, played by David Bowie, appears. He offers Sarah her dreams in exchange for the baby; she refuses and wants Toby back. Jareth gives her thirteen hours to solve the labyrinth around his castle and find Toby, or the child will be turned into a goblin.
