About
A famous New York detective travels to Prague to find a countess's missing dog and encounters a case involving a carnivorous plant.
At the turn of the nineteenth to the twentieth century, Countess Thun (Květa Fialová) asks the famous New York detective Nick Carter (Michal Dočolomanský) to travel to Prague. Her favourite dog has disappeared, and the local police have run out of ideas and ask him for help. In Prague, Carter is assisted by Prague police commissar Ledvina (Rudolf Hrušínský). The case is stranger than a missing dog: it also involves a carnivorous plant named Adele and the botanist Baron Rupert von Kratzmar (Miloš Kopecký).
