Classical music festivals

Germany has a dense festival calendar: the Leipzig Bachfest celebrates its Thomaskantor in June, the Dresdner Musikfestspiele fill the city in May and June, the Klavier-Festival Ruhr runs from May into July, the Schumannfest brings Düsseldorf to life in June, the Beethovenfest follows in Bonn in the autumn, and the MDR Musiksommer travels through Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia in August.
