What to expect

The Amabile Piano Duo, founded in 2021 by John Fisher and Domi Oh, performs works for piano four hands and for two pianos.

The duo has given concerts in churches, cathedrals, colleges, universities, conservatories, museums and art centres; its performance cities include San Diego, Seattle, San Francisco, Phoenix, Indianapolis, Dallas, Fort Worth, Washington, D.C., London, Dublin, Düsseldorf, Geneva, Brussels and Mexico City.

John Fisher taught piano and music theory for 51 years, including 34 years at Texas Wesleyan University, where he is now professor emeritus; he also held professorships at St. Mary’s College in South Bend and Northern State University in Aberdeen.

Since retiring in 2022, he has focused on organising national and international Amabile Piano Duo appearances.

Domi Oh is Assistant Professor of Instruction at the University of Texas at Dallas, where she leads the piano area, and is a pianist in Trio Pasión and the Amabile Piano Duo.

She founded Comet Alumni Pianists to encourage University of Texas at Dallas alumni who did not study piano to keep playing and develop musically.

Her recent performances took her to major cities in Europe, Mexico and the United States.
