About

What to expect

In its anniversary year, the Leipziger Universitätschor presents a programme that brings Bach, Mendelssohn, Schnittke and Vladimir Tarnopolski into dialogue.

The works deal with transience, memory and transcendence, and the evening centres on Schnittke’s Requiem for soloists, choir and instrumental ensemble.

  • Vladimir Tarnopolski: „Das alte Jahr vergangen ist“
  • Mendelssohn: „Wir preisen selig“ aus „Paulus“
  • Schnittke: Quintett für Klavier und Streicher
  • Schnittke: Requiem für Soli, Chor und Instrumentalensemble
  • Bach: Choralvorspiel BWV 614
