Not published
Tickets are sold by number, not by seat, and the venue does not publish a seat plan. The stage is 380 cm wide, 185 cm deep and 15 cm high, with a wooden floor. Because the room holds 45, every chair is close to the performers. If you want the closest view, arrive early and take the front row; there is no separate numbered block to aim for.
Café, restaurant and dinner shows
Café Mascini is the café-restaurant in the same building; on Diner Chantant Sundays, dinner and the show come as one ticket.
The café opens at 16:00 Monday to Thursday and at 14:00 Friday to Sunday, and stays open after the show. The restaurant serves dinner, and on Diner Chantant evenings the ticket includes a three-course dinner, drinks (beer, wine, soft drinks, coffee and tea) and the performance. The evening starts at 18:30 and ends around 22:00. If you choose not to drink alcohol, the venue offers €10 off, settled at the end of the night.

The venue says the steep staircase makes the theatre and toilets poorly accessible for people with a physical disability. The stairs have a handrail and service dogs are allowed. No step-free route or lift is published, so contact the venue before booking if you need one.

Five minutes from Amsterdam Centraal
From the station it is a short walk along Prins Hendrikkade and onto the Zeedijk; allow five to ten minutes.

The venue says five minutes; the open-data router gives 540 m and about eight minutes.

A small stage for kleinkunst
Theater Mascini is a tiny theatre with a big café life, built for cabaret, music and try-outs.
Theater Mascini opened in 2020 at Zeedijk 24a, in the building that was previously the theatre-restaurant Casablanca Variété. It was founded by Thom deLagh and Bas Marée and named after the actor Peer Mascini, who died in 2019 and lived around the corner. The venue calls itself 'De Liefdevolle Ontregelaar' — the loving disruptor.
The programme focuses on kleinkunst, cabaret and music. The room is deliberately intimate: 45 visitors, a stage of 380 by 185 cm and a tuned Bechstein piano, with a house drum kit for bands. That scale makes it a regular place for try-outs and for artists who want to test a new programme in front of a small audience.
The same building holds Café Mascini and the restaurant, so a show can be combined with a drink or dinner. The agenda also lists poetry evenings, book clubs and smaller café concerts, and some shows are marked sold out.
