Frequently asked questions

Is the GLOW light festival in Eindhoven free, or do I need a ticket?

GLOW is free and the route needs no ticket. Only the drone show at Philips Stadion costs €2 per person, and you buy those tickets online. Guided tours and culinary tours are booked separately: some, such as the ASML tours, are free but fill up fast. Tours and packages

How late is GLOW open?

In Eindhoven every evening from 18:30 to 23:00, from Saturday 7 to Saturday 14 November 2026. In Helmond, Best, Oirschot, Veldhoven and Lieshout until 22:00.

How long is the GLOW route and how long does it take?

The route is about 5 kilometres. Walking alone takes a little over an hour; with stops and queues at the busy works, plan two to three hours.

Where does the GLOW route start?

Anywhere you like: the route is a loop through the city centre and you can join at any point. Eindhoven Centraal and Strijp-S station are both next to the route.

How busy is it, and what is the easiest way to get there?

GLOW draws hundreds of thousands of visitors. The organisers advise coming by public transport or bike: that way you are least bothered by the crowds and the closed roads. Both Eindhoven stations are next to the route.

Can I go to GLOW by car?

The centre is hard to reach by car: roads around the route are closed from 18:00 to 23:55 and five car parks do not let you in between 18:30 and 00:30. Book through ParkingYou (maximum €15 a day) or park at P+R Evoluon.

Where can I eat during GLOW?

Restaurants and cafés along the route take part as GLOW Hosts; book a table in time. If you want to eat and walk at once, book a walking dinner such as Food La Route, or a culinary tour. Culinary tours and packages

How does the drone show work?

The Breathing Collective by TWOFIFTYK plays every evening at 18:30, 19:15, 20:00 and 20:45 at Philips Stadion (PSV's stadium) and lasts about a quarter of an hour. A ticket costs €2; up to 24 hours before, you can switch it to another slot for free.

Is GLOW fun with children?

Yes. The route is free and fully wheelchair accessible, so a pram is fine too. At Fabellicht, a shadow play in the church tells stories that children made up and drew themselves.

Is GLOW wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the whole route is wheelchair accessible. There are toilets at De Heuvel, at Philips Stadion (with a drone show ticket) and at the GLOW Hosts along the route.

Can I go to GLOW if I have epilepsy?

The organisers advise against GLOW if you are sensitive to epilepsy: many works use flickering light, bright flashes and changing colours.

When is GLOW 2027?

The organisers have not announced the dates of GLOW 2027 yet (checked 2 November 2026). Recent editions ran for eight evenings in early to mid-November: 8–15 November 2025 and 7–14 November 2026.
