Sinterklaas arrives in the Stadshart at 10:00 on Saturday 14 November 2026, with the theme 'The Circus of Sinterklaas'. The parade goes from the Stadshart via the Dobbe to the Nicolaasplein. From 13:30 Sinterklaas walks through the Dorpsstraat, and he is back on the Nicolaasplein by 14:30 at the latest.

Kaarsjesavond

Tuesday 8 December 2026, 18:00 – 21:00

All the lights in the Dorpsstraat go off, the street lamps too, and the old street is lit by thousands of small lights. The activities are free.

In 2026 King's Day filled the Markt, the Stadhuisplein, the Centraal Park, Park Palenstein and the Dorpsstraat, and the free market started on the Markt and ran along the Grote Dobbeplas to the Dorpsstraat. The programme of 2027 is not announced yet.
