About this workshop
This is an active, educational walk in nature around the Tungelerwallen in Weert.
You learn the basics of recognizing edible wild mushrooms, including features, habitats, seasons, safety and what to look for.
You also learn how to tell species apart and why some mushrooms are special in the forest ecosystem.
After the walk, visit the Paddenstoelenbos in Weert for a tour of the different species.
You see how mushrooms are grown in cooperation with nature without depleting the forest.
The morning ends with a plant-based mushroom lunch, including coffee and tea, and you learn how to prepare different mushrooms.
