Seats, sightlines and the flexible floor
No public seating plan (plattegrond) of the hall is published. What the theatre does state: the De Siers Groep Theaterzaal seats 302, most theatre shows have numbered seats and rows printed on the ticket, and the fixed tribune has 162 seats with a clear view over the stage and floor.

Most theatre performances use numbered seats. For standing concerts the rear tribune is pushed in, which opens the floor and leaves 162 fixed seats on the raised section; for free-seating shows the venue uses a 'volloop' arrangement.
The hall has a limited number of wheelchair places. Book them through the box office; there is no lift in the building.
Eating and drinking at De Bond
The theatre café serves drinks and simple food. Three set arrangements can be booked for groups of two or more, each at your own reserved table.
The Zoete inval is coffee or tea with a tiered stand of sweet and savoury treats before the show. De Bond Naborrel adds a drink and a generous borrel platter afterwards. De Bond XL combines coffee before, an interval drink ready for you and a borrel platter after.
An interval drink is included in the ticket price for theatre performances, but not for standing or seated concerts or youth shows. The bar and box office are card-only.

The theatre has a limited number of wheelchair places, and they can only be booked through the box office. There is no lift in the building, and two disabled parking spaces sit next to the theatre.
Because there is no lift, wheelchair users and visitors who cannot use stairs should check the route to their seats when booking. The theatre calls the hall a flat-floor theatre, but it does not describe a step-free entrance; ask the box office to confirm the door and route you will use.

- Latecomers are admitted after the interval, not during the performance.
- Switch phones and watches to silent; taking photos, filming or recording without permission is not allowed.
- Do not take your own food or drink into the hall.
- Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, is not allowed anywhere in the building.
- An interval drink is included with theatre tickets; it is not included with standing or seated concerts or youth shows.
Getting to Molenstraat 25
The theatre is at Molenstraat 25 in the centre of Oldenzaal. From Oldenzaal station it is an 18-minute walk, or a short bus ride on lines 62, 64 or 66 to Vos de Waelstraat followed by about three minutes on foot.
The station is 1,340 m away. Several bus stops are closer: Molenkamp (bus 593) is 170 m, Vos de Waelstraat (62/64/66) is 260 m, and Oliemolensingel (64/66) is 420 m.
The 62/64/66 route is the one the theatre itself recommends from the station: get off at Vos de Waelstraat and walk about three minutes. The walk from the station takes about 18 to 20 minutes.
Parking around De Bond
The two closest paid car parks are Citadel on Monnikstraat (290 m, 4 min) and the In Den Vijfhoek car deck (580 m, 8 min), both at the municipal rate of about €1.45 per hour. Paid parking runs Monday to Saturday 09:00–18:00 and Friday until 21:00, so on most evenings it is free. The theatre also points to free spaces nearby and to the Aldi car park (first hour free, free for the evening if you enter after 19:00); do not park on the private car parks of neighbouring companies.
For an afternoon show, ask at the box office for an exit ticket so you can leave the Aldi car park for free. On Sundays and on public holidays such as King's Day and Christmas, municipal parking in Oldenzaal is free.
Garage De Driehoek (Kloosterstraat 35) is privately owned and has its own opening hours: use its night entrance outside them. Rates are the published 2026 rates; check the sign or app before you park, because the sources for the In Den Vijfhoek deck differ by a few cents.

From St. Joseph's building to a 2013 theatre
De Bond began in 1893 as the R.K. Werkliedenvereniging St. Joseph, a Catholic workers' association. Its building on Molenstraat was extended and rebuilt over the next century; the current theatre opened in 2013.
The association was founded on 14 October 1893. In 1894 the first stone was laid for its own St. Joseph building on Molenstraat. The building became the association's own home in the centre of Oldenzaal.
The present Stadstheater De Bond opened in 2013 with 302 places. In 2015 the auditorium received 302 new red seats. The fixed tribune that remains when the floor is opened for standing concerts has 162 places.

Is there a seating plan (plattegrond) of the hall?
No public seating plan is published on the theatre's website or in the pages read for this profile. The hall is flat-floor: most theatre performances use numbered seats, while standing concerts push in the rear tribune and leave 162 fixed seats on the raised section. Ask the box office if you need a specific seat, a sightline or a wheelchair place.
What time do shows usually start and end?
Most evening shows start at 20:15 (91 of the 125 listings in the venue's current programme). Matinees cluster between 13:30 and 16:00. A checked evening concert that started at 20:15 ended at 22:30, so plan for about two and a quarter hours; always check the time on the event page.
Where can I park near the theatre?
Free spaces are available around the theatre; do not use the private car parks of nearby companies. The Aldi car park is free for the first hour and free for the rest of the evening if you enter after 19:00. Municipal paid parking costs about €1.45 per hour (max €5.90 per day) Monday to Saturday 09:00–18:00 and Friday until 21:00, and is free on Sundays: Citadel on Monnikstraat 40 (290 m, 4 min) and the In Den Vijfhoek 1 car deck (580 m, 8 min) fall under it. How do I get there from Oldenzaal station?
It is an 18-minute walk (1,340 m). Or take bus 62, 64 or 66 to Vos de Waelstraat and walk about three minutes (260 m). Bus 64 or 66 also stops at Oliemolensingel, 420 m away.
Is the theatre wheelchair accessible?
There are a limited number of wheelchair places, bookable only through the box office. There is no lift, and two disabled parking spaces are next to the theatre. Because the theatre does not describe a step-free entrance on its site, ask the box office to confirm the door and route when you book.
Can I buy tickets at the box office?
Yes, Tuesday to Friday 13:00–16:00 and one hour before a performance. Online booking is available 24/7. The box office charges €2.50 per ticket; phone booking costs the same, and shipping is €5.00 per order.
What happens if I arrive late?
You are admitted after the interval, not during the performance.
Can I take photos or film?
Not without permission. Phones and watches should be silent during the performance.
Can I bring my own food and drink?
No, own food and drink may not be taken into the hall. An interval drink is included with theatre tickets; it is not included for standing or seated concerts or youth shows.
Can I cancel my tickets?
Up to two working days before the performance you can cancel for a credit note minus €2.00 per ticket. The credit has no expiry date and can be used for another show. Cancellation is only possible through the box office, not online.
What if a show is sold out?
For sold-out theatre shows you can join the waiting list on the event page. The theatre also lets you try your luck at the box office from one hour before the start, where you get a queue number.
