Getting to Kulturhus de Bijenkorf by train, bus or on foot
The venue is a 16-minute walk from Borne station, or three minutes from the Dorsetplein bus stop. Bus 592 links the station and the centre with the stops around De Haven; bus 51 stops at Het Witte Huis on its way to Almelo and Hengelo.
From Borne station, walk south through the centre to De Haven. The route is about 1,150 m and takes around 16 minutes. In the rush hour there is a train every 15 minutes, run by Keolis between Enschede and Zwolle and by NS between Enschede and Apeldoorn. The Keolis train is accessible for wheelchair users.
Five bus stops are within a 12-minute walk. Dorsetplein and 't Dijkhuis are the closest, both on bus 592; De Bleek and Winkelcentrum Stroom Esch are also on bus 592, and Het Witte Huis is on bus 51. Bus 51 continues to Almelo and Hengelo.
Parking at Kulturhus de Bijenkorf: free garage and free car parks
The easiest place to park is the free De Bijenkorf garage under the venue, entered from Bekenhorst 8. It costs nothing and you can park until midnight, but the municipality does not allow parking there between 01:00 and 07:00.
In front of the building, De Haven car park is a blue zone: use a parking disc and stay no longer than two hours. The same rule applies to the car parks around the centre, including De Bree, De Koem and De Bolkshoek. All parking in Borne is free; the disc is what limits the time.
Two more car parks appear in the area data: Marktplein (280 m, 4 min) and De Kleine Loods (540 m, 8 min, free). The municipality and Visit Borne publish no address or time rule for either, and neither is confirmed for evening use, so they are left out of the table; the garage remains the safer evening choice.
The Station Borne P+R is the alternative for a full day. It is free, needs no disc, and is a 16-minute walk from the venue. The blue-zone times are Monday to Thursday until 18:00, Friday until 21:00 and Saturday until 18:00.

What is Kulturhus de Bijenkorf?
Kulturhus de Bijenkorf opened at the end of April 2004 as a multifunctional meeting place in the centre of Borne. It is one of the organisations in Huis van Borne.
Under one roof it houses the public library, the music school, a theatre, Filmhuis Borne, the local broadcaster and Twentehoes, plus a foyer café and rooms for hire. It is a centre for education, services, welfare, art and culture, and for meetings between people who live and work in Borne.
