How many people fit in Comedy Club Haug?
The Main Room takes 250 guests, the Corner Room 82 and At the Bar 100. The club does not add the rooms into one building total, because only one room is used per show.
The Main Room is the club's largest room and is built for stand-up: the audience sits around the stage rather than in rows facing it, so every table is close to the comic. The Corner Room is the smallest and is used for open mics, workshops and pro-shows such as Chuckle-Up!. At the Bar turns the café into a 100-guest comedy room and opens onto the terrace.

There are no numbered seats. Every room is unassigned, with small tables arranged around the stage, and the club cannot guarantee a place once the show has started.

In the Main Room the audience sits around the stage, so the comic is the focus from every table. Tables are small and close together, with drinks and snacks served at the table.
Late arrivals are let in, but the club warns that the MC will notice you and that staff may ask you to wait for a moment when the MC is talking. If you want to choose your table, come when the club opens, at least 90 minutes before the start.

- Book online before you travel. The club recommends it because popular shows sell out, and a door ticket is never guaranteed.
- Come to Boompjeskade 11 and look for the entrance at the side of the club, in the tunnel. Follow the yellow arrows if you arrive by car.
- The club opens at least 90 minutes before the show. Come early: seating is unassigned and the room fills from the front.
- Check your coat. The cloakroom is compulsory, and lockers are available with a 10 euro deposit.
- Take a table around the stage. Staff serve drinks and snacks by QR order, so you do not have to leave your seat.
- Keep your phone away except for ordering. Filming, recording and photographing the show are not allowed.
- The show runs 60 to 120 minutes. Stay for a drink at the bar or on the terrace afterwards.
Food and drinks at Comedy Club Haug
The club serves snacks, not full meals: bitterballen, kroketten, Japanese fried chicken, chips and vegetarian or vegan bites, with drinks ordered by QR from your table.
The bar makes coffee, cocktails and more than 10 different beers, and a bottle of cava comes to the table in an ice bucket. Snacks are not included in the ticket price, and there is no drink minimum.
If you want a full meal, eat before the show: the club says there are plenty of places nearby. Some dishes are prepared in shared oil or kitchen equipment, so guests with allergies should be careful or bring their own food.

The club is wheelchair accessible from the street, but the Corner Room and part of the Main Room are reached by two steps. A 70 by 240 cm ramp that takes up to 250 kg is available.

How to get to Comedy Club Haug
The nearest station is Rotterdam Blaak, a seven-minute walk (480 m). From Rotterdam Centraal, take tram 1, 10 or 11, or bus N4, N5 or 456, to Station Blaak and walk six minutes.
The entrance is at the side of the club, in the tunnel. If you come by car, follow the yellow arrows.
The Willemswerf bus stop (bus 32) is 100 m away, and Blaak metro station (lines A, B and C) is 460 m away.
Parking at Comedy Club Haug: garages, rates and walking times
There are a few spaces in the tunnel next to the entrance, but the club's own advice is Parkeergarage De Boompjes on Terwenakker, six minutes away. It is open 24 hours and costs 1 euro per 14 minutes by day.
De Boompjes charges 1 euro per 29 minutes between 22:00 and 06:00 and has a maximum of 41 euro per 24 hours. Q-Park Koopgoot at Bulgersteyn 5 is a 13-minute walk and costs from 17.50 euro per 24 hours when booked online.
The Red Apple, Wijnstraat 78, Oude Haven, Kiphof and ParkBee Oostplein are also within a 13-minute walk, but no page read for this guide publishes their evening rate, so their rate cells say so. Q-Park's own page says 8 minutes to Koopgoot; the 920 m map route gives 13, which is the figure used here.

About Comedy Club Haug
Comedy Club Haug is Rotterdam's first stand-up comedy stage. It sits on the Boompjeskade at the edge of the city centre, right on the Maas, and runs seven to twelve shows a week across three rooms.
The Main Room is built for stand-up: the audience sits around the stage, table service runs by QR code and shows are recorded with several 4K and Full-HD cameras. The Corner Room (82 guests) hosts open mics, workshops and pro-shows such as Chuckle-Up!, and At the Bar (100) turns the café into a comedy room and opens onto the terrace.
The programme mixes Best of Stand-Up line-ups from Wednesday to Saturday, a weekly open mic on Wednesdays, try-outs by the club regulars, solo shows and English-language Chuckle-Up! nights on Fridays and mixed-language ones on Saturdays. The terrace looks out on De Hef, the Willemsbrug and the Erasmusbrug.
