What is Three Words for Forest?

Three Words for Forest is a new play by Professor Dee Heddon and Dr Rachel Clive (University of Glasgow).

It draws on interviews with 30 forest practitioners, ecologists and policymakers from across the UK and Europe.

It explores decision-making amid risks and deep uncertainties: a changing climate, pests and diseases, timber shortages, shifting governmental priorities, global inequities and emergent research.

It shares the complexity and urgency, and how people committed to future treescapes feel and act.

It asks what actions do, can or should we take for forests.
