A biblical drama retelling the story of Mary and Joseph, from the Annunciation to their journey to Bethlehem.
The Nativity Story is a biblical drama set in the Roman province of Judea. In Nazareth, fourteen-year-old Mary (Keisha Castle-Hughes) lives with her family and is betrothed to Joseph (Oscar Isaac). The Archangel Gabriel (Alexander Siddig) visits her and tells her she will give birth to the son of God, and that her elderly cousin Elisabeth (Shohreh Aghdashloo) is also expecting a child. Mary travels to Elisabeth, the wife of Zechariah (Stanley Townsend). Later, Mary and Joseph set out on the difficult journey to Bethlehem.
