About
Jesús and María, new parents in a strained relationship, buy a coffee table that will change their lives.
Jesús (David Pareja) and María (Estefanía de los Santos) have just become parents, and their relationship is already difficult. They visit a furniture shop with their baby son, Cayetano, whom they call Cayetanín, to look for a new coffee table. A salesman, also named Cayetano (Eduardo Antuña), offers them a costly model and claims its glass cannot break. María refuses and does not trust the claim. Jesús protests that she has never let him choose anything in their marriage, including their son's name, and buys the table anyway.
In the flat he inherited from his grandmother, Jesús begins putting the table together. His upstairs neighbour, thirteen-year-old Ruth (Gala Flores), comes by and threatens to accuse him of paedophilia when he turns down her advances. Jesús discovers that a screw is missing and phones the salesman for another.
