About
A reckless Marseille taxi driver must help a bumbling police inspector catch a German bank gang to keep his licence.
In Marseille, Daniel Morales (Samy Naceri) is a talented but reckless driver with a love of speed. He leaves his job as a delivery man for Pizza Joe and becomes a taxi driver, driving a white 1997 Peugeot 406 with concealed racing modifications. His girlfriend is Lilly Bertineau (Marion Cotillard). Young police inspector Émilien Coutant-Kerbalec (Frédéric Diefenthal) has just failed his eighth driving test and is not taken seriously at work, including by police sergeant Petra (Emma Wiklund). Commissioner Gibert (Bernard Farcy) briefs his officers on a German gang that has carried out robberies across Europe and has now arrived in Marseille, using red Mercedes-Benz 500E cars. After Daniel is caught speeding, Émilien offers him a choice: lose his licence or help the police track down the bank robbers.
