About
A woman reunites with her brother in New Orleans and learns she descends from werecats, while a zoo curator is drawn to her.
Irena Gallier (Nastassja Kinski) travels from Canada to New Orleans to reconnect with her brother Paul (Malcolm McDowell) after years apart. Paul is involved in a church and lives with his Creole housekeeper Female (Ruby Dee). Zoologists Oliver Yates (John Heard), Alice Perrin (Annette O'Toole) and Joe Creigh (Ed Begley Jr.) capture a wild panther. Irena is drawn to the captured cat, and zoo curator Oliver is drawn to her. Paul carries a family secret: when sexually aroused, he and Irena turn into predatory jungle cats.
